Product Description

Adistar Gel 15gm

adistar gel contains Adapalene which belongs to the group of medicines called retinoic acid derivatives. It is used for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris in patients aged 12 years or older. It can be applied on the face, neck and back where the skin has lots of pimples, blackheads and dark spots. Acne vulgaris is a common skin condition that occurs in teens, when hair follicles of the skin plug with oil and dead skin cells. Symptoms includes inflammation, large, reddish pus-filled pimples and formation of comedones. Adapalene modulates keratinization and differentiation of follicular epithelial cells. It also has anti-inflammatory action which reduces soreness and irritation on the skin surface and reduces acne outbreaks. Along with the treatment, avoid exposure to sunlight or other artificial UV light as much as possible. Read More : adistar gel

HOW ADISTAR WORKS

Adapalene directly binds to the nuclear retinoic acid receptors of the skin and modulates keratinization and differentiation of follicular epithelial cells. It promotes lysis of keratinocytes, prevents horny cells from binding to each other and stimulates epidermal cell turnover. It also has anti-inflammatory action which reduces soreness and irritation on the skin surface and reduces the outbreaks of acne.
