About This Product
Toptada 10mg Tablet
is used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia. It is also used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction with benign prostate hypertrophy. Tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitor prevalently used in the treatment of erectile problems. This drug also treats pulmonary hypertension, a type of high blood pressure that affects the arteries in the lungs. Tadalafil acts by specifically inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 ( PDE5), which is responsible for the smooth muscle metabolism of cyclic guanosine monophosphate ( cGMP). The inhibition led to an rise in cGMP levels during sexual arousal, causing smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood flow to the penis corpus cavernosum, resulting in an erection. It also relaxes the smooth muscle in the pulmonary vascular area , causing vasodilatation and diminished vascular resistance in the lung. How it works
